Simply put, Grammarly is an application that will correct grammar as you type. Many would argue that Microsoft Word is their tool of choice to correct their grammar but that means having to copy and paste everything in Word. I, like many others, post comments on Facebook, fill in forms online, work on my resume on LinkedIn, and write emails. I don’t have time to copy and paste everything in Word. Grammarly is a plugin that is always there to assist you to write error-free sentences.
How to Install Grammarly
First, open your browser and go to grammarly.com. I am using Chrome but you can also install it Safari and Firefox browsers.
You will know it has successfully installed when you see the little green icon beside the URL on your browser.
When you start typing, you will notice Grammarly right away, as it will correct your mistakes. Below, I am typing a post on Facebook and it is correcting my spelling.
There are many ways you can use Grammarly when looking for employment. Here we will show how it comes in handy when filling out online job applications, social profiles and writing emails.
