Why do you want to work for H&M?

The H&M group aims to be climate positive throughout our value chain by 2040. The main priorities for getting there are increased energy efficiency, renewable energy, and carbon sinks that can absorb unavoidable greenhouse gas emissions.

What is your greatest strength?

  • The best way to respond to this question is to describe the skills and experience that directly correlate with the job you are applying for. With this in mind, review the job description and reassure the interviewer that you have the experience and skills to do the job.

What is your greatest weakness?

You should not deny you have a weakness or state strengths as a weakness (I am a perfectionist, or I work too hard and neglect my friends and family).  Think of a weakness that is not required for the job and state that as your weakness.

What is your greatest weakness?

When you state your weakness make sure you say what you are doing to overcome that weakness. For example, I have a fear of public speaking and I have enrolled in a public speaking class to overcome my fear.

How will you deal with an upset customer?

Sample Answer: “The first step to dealing with an upset customer is to listen and find out why they are upset. If it is the product, I will offer to replace it or provide a refund if it meets the criteria in H&M’s return policy. If the customer is upset because they cannot find a particular product, I will find it for them and not just point them in a general direction. Finally, I believe it is important for the customer to leave happy because an unhappy customer will never return.”

Where do you see yourself in five years?

  • If going to college or university state what you will be doing after you finish.
  • Careers that align with H&M’s business objectives include retail management or fashion design.

  • Most jobs in retail will require you to work on your feet for long periods. Tell the interviewer you do not have a problem with this. Wear comfortable, well-fitting shoes with low heels, maintain good posture, and stay hydrated.

What hours can you work?

  • The more flexible you are with your hours, the better your chance of getting hired, so be flexible!
  • Let the interviewer know if you can work on weekends and holidays.

Why did you leave your last job?
