1. Can you tell us about yourself?

  • First, mention your previous and current related work experience.  You will be ahead of the competition if you can show you have experience in retail or customer service.  It is ok to talk about your hobbies but keep it brief.

2. What can you tell us about Jack & Jones?

  • Jack & Jones has five clothing lines which are Originals, Core, Vintage Clothing, Premium, and Tech.
  • All the lines of clothing are designed to work well with any Jack & Jones Jeans.
  • Jack & Jones was founded in 1989.

3. Why do you want to work for Jack & Jones?

  • State you love fashion and working with people and you think a job at Jack & Jones will allow you to do both.

4. What is your greatest strength?

  • I am a quick learner (this is a great answer because they will have to spend less time training you)
  • I have excellent people skills (this is a great answer because you will be working with customers all the time at Jack & Jones)

5. What is your greatest weakness?

  • It would help if you did not deny you have a weakness or state strengths as a weakness. For example, do not say “I am a perfectionist” or “I work too hard and neglect my friends and family”. State a fault required for the role but not a dealbreaker if you don’t have it.
  • When you state your weakness, make sure you say what you are doing to overcome that weakness. For example, I have a fear of public speaking and enrolled in a public speaking class to overcome my fear.

6. How would you deal with an upset customer?

First I would find out what is wrong with the customer.

  • If it was the product I would offer to replace it (mention you would check with your manager first)
  • If they were upset because they could not find a product I would find it for them and not just point them in a general direction.
  • Say it is important to keep the customer happy as an unhappy customer will never return.

7. If a customer asked where a particular item was in the store what would you tell them

  • I would walk them over to the item and find it. (this is a great answer because there is nothing worse than having someone point where a particular item is in the store)

8. Where do you see yourself in five years?

  • If going to college or university state what you would like to be doing after you finish.
  • Perhaps you would like a career in retail management.

9. Why should I hire you?

  • I work hard, I am a quick learner, and I am punctual.

10. Questions to ask on a Jack and Jones Interview?

  • What do you like best about working here?
  • How do you describe your ideal candidate for this position?
  • What about this position is the most important?
  • How do you measure my success, and what could I do to meet your expectations?
  • Which part of the position has the steepest learning curve? What can I do to get up to speed quickly?
  • What opportunities will I have to learn and grow?
