  1. These interview tips were extremely helpful in preparing me for my recent Sears interview!

I wanted to add to this amazing resource by including some additional questions that were asked:
    1) What would you do if you caught a fellow employee shoplifting?
~ The key here seemed to be that you would try to talk to the employee and that you would notify loss-prevention (security) and management.

    2) Tell us about a positive customer service experience you’ve had.
~ I talked about going the extra mile for a customer (ie. taking them to the item they are looking for, rather than merely pointing them in the right direction.)

    3) Tell us about a negative customer service experience and what you did to fix it.
~ In my previous civil service position I attended a customer service training and they talked about the principle that “customers want to know how much you care before they care how much you know.” I gave an example of when I have done this with a customer.

Note: my interview was for the holiday season. They were hiring a number of people. They did a group interview with us. Some people let their nerves get the best of them in a large group. Try not to get to caught up in other people’s answers. Focus on what YOU have to offer the company and the experiences you’ve had that apply to the question at hand.

    Good luck!!
