3) What can you tell us about the Travelodge? .
- In 1985, Travelodge became Britain’s first value hotel brand when it launched in the UK
- The first hotel opened at Barton England.
- Today it is the largest independent hotel operator in the UK.
- There are more than 500 hotels and 37,000 guest bedrooms, right across the UK as well as in Ireland and Spain.
4) How would you define great customer service?
- Going out of your way to the customer such as getting them event tickets to even simple things such as giving them an extra pillow, more bathroom amenities, to local dining suggestions.
5) Where do you see yourself in five years?
- Have a look at other jobs at Travelodge and see a job you can see yourself doing in five years. This will make you sound like you are in it for the long haul and not a job hopper.
- It is great if you have goals of your own, but keep in mind this question is designed to see if you are a good fit for the company. So if you say you would like a career in hotel management you will sound like a great candidate for Travelodge.
6) How would you deal with an upset customer?
- I would stop what I am doing and give him my full attention.
- Then I would see if I can fix his/her complaint.
- Finally, I would note the complaint and show it to my manager to make sure this issue never happens again.
7) Questions to ask the employer?
- Why the position open? What did the previous employee do well? Would can he/she improve on?
- Make good eye contact during the interview.
- Have good posture as it will prevent you from mumbling.
- Don’t speak too fast as you will sound nervous or to slow as you will sound boring.
