Wendy’s Restaurant Manager Interview Questions

Why do you want to be a restaurant manager?

How do you evaluate success?

Remember you are applying for the position of a manager so it is more about the restaurant’s overall performance, rather than you as an individual.

  • Take metrics (such as the amount of time it takes to serve a customer), and improve on those metrics.
  • Review customer satisfaction surveys, and monitor online customer comments on sites such as yelp.
  • The overall team’s performance.
  • Have a career plan for crew and shift supervisors and seeing them progress in their careers at Wendy’s

How do you motivate others?

  • I always take the time to praise others.  Say you feel that money is not always the greatest motivator, and a pat on the back goes a long way.

How would the people who worked for you describe you?

  • Someone who leads by example.
  • A good motivator.
  • A quick learner.
  • A team player.

What is an accomplishment that you are most proud of in your last job?

Possible answers may include:

  • Saving the company money.
  • Building a strong team.
  • Making a process more efficient.

What are your salary requirements?

  • Research online and be ready to have a salary range ready when answering this question.
  • You can always flip the question and ask what the salary range is.  Then you can counter and ask for the higher range.

How would you go about firing someone or letting them go?

  •  Say you always put someone on a performance review before letting anyone go, as they should have a good understanding of what they are not doing correctly.  If you don’t see improvement then you let them go.
