  • They are one of the first pizza restaurants to have online ordering available.

8. How would you deal with an upset customer?

  • If the customer were unhappy with the product, I would offer to replace it free of charge. I believe that an unhappy customer will never return.

9. Describe great customer service?

  • The customer is always right.
  • Make sure the product is made to order the way the customer wants it.
  • Always be aware of any allergy concerns the customer may have.
  • The customer is served within a reasonable time.

10. Tell us about a time you went above and beyond for a customer?

  • Customers love it when you go above and beyond for them, which will, in turn, generate more business. Try to think of a time when you went above and beyond for a customer. For example, when I was a server at a restaurant, we did not have a specific dessert in the restaurant. Luckily, the restaurant next door had it and I got it for the customer.   
  • Here’s another example: I worked at a fast-food chain in my last job.  There was a senior citizen at the restaurant and he had finished his meal. The rain started, and he started to worry because he didn’t have an umbrella. Luckily, I had an umbrella, so I walked him to his car, sheltering him from the rain.

11. Where do you see yourself in five years?

No Papa John’s Interview Questions list would be complete without this question.   This question is designed to see if you have goals and also to see if you are the right fit.  State something like:

  • If you don’t have a five-year career plan, then consider restaurant management.   This will make you sound like a good fit for Papa John’s.
  • If going to college state what you plan on doing when you finish.  If possible state what you learn at Papa John’s will apply to what you are studying in school.
