UPS Job Description Package Handler

The Package Handler loads and unloads packages into or out of UPS vehicles. The responsibilities include the following:

Roll Summary

Package Handlers are responsible for the unloading, sorting, scanning, and loading of packages in the hub. They move a variety of packages and they process these efficiently for warehouse operations. Package Handlers work in a physically demanding and fast-paced warehouse environment, and they continually lift, lower and slide packages for the duration of their shifts. They work with conveyor and roller belts, inside trailers, cargo containers, and package cars. Shift hours can vary because of changes in package volume. Package Handlers will be required to work with slight changes in shift hours

Workdays are from Monday to Friday
Schedules are based on operational requirements
Shift hours will vary slightly and may be subject to change

UPS Driver Helpers Job Description

This is a physical, fast-paced, outdoor position that involves continual lifting, lowering, and carrying packages that typically weigh 25 – 35 lbs. and may weigh up to 70 lbs. It requires excellent customer contact skills and a lot of walking.

As a Driver Helper, you will not drive the delivery vehicle but assist the driver in delivering packages.

Driver Helpers usually meet the UPS driver at a mutually agreed upon time and location each weekday. Workdays can vary (Monday – Friday) or (Tuesday – Saturday) depending on the building’s needs. Hours vary but usually begin after 8:00 a.m. and end before 8:00 p.m. Driver Helpers must comply with UPS appearance guidelines.

Driver Helper seasonal opportunities are typically between the Thanksgiving and Christmas holiday time period.

UPS Job Description for Delivery Driver

POSITION SUMMARY

The UPS Driver performs the task of delivering and picking up UPS packages. They should be able to use maps and other trip planning aids, while at the same time-solving dispatch problems on route. The responsibilities consist of the following:
